Challenge the greats at The Game Fair!
Fieldsports Magazine will once again be hosting the Simon Ward High Pheasant Challenge and The Lord James Percy Grouse Challenge at this year’s Game Fair at Hatfield House, on July 28-30. Plus, brand new for 2017 will be the George Digweed MBE Pigeon Challenge.
The three 20-bird simulated game sequences will give members of the Game Fair-going public the chance to take on three of the greatest Shots of our generation. Simon Ward will be setting the score for the High Pheasant Challenge, Lord James Percy will do the same for the Grouse Challenge, and none other than legendary clay, game and pigeon Shot George Digweed will be setting the score to beat on the Pigeon Challenge.
The objective is simple – once the scores have been set on the Friday morning, it’s up to The Game Fair visitors to match or beat them in order to have a chance of becoming High Gun for that day.
And with over £1,500-worth of prizes up for grabs each day, all three competitions are certain to pull in the crowds. So even if you don’t rate your chances of beating George, Simon or Lord James’ scores, come along and watch some of the best clay and game Shots in the country go head to head.
To take part, head over to the Fieldsports gazebo on the Subaru Shooting Line or their stand on Gunmakers Row (G1017) where a member of the Fieldsports team will talk you through it and provide you with a scorecard.
The team will also be selling Fieldsports subscriptions, books and bookazines, and taking orders for the highly anticipated Fieldsports Guide to Game Guns and Rifles which will be published in September.
Price: £20 entry fee for each challenge (includes 20 clays and cartridges), or £50 to enter all three.
